Liverpool make progress on Wijnaldum's new contract

He is not a player who makes the headlines often, but he is always an important footballer for Liverpool. For that reason, the Reds want Georginio Wijnaldum to pen a new deal.
The Dutch midfielder, 29, sees his contract run out in 2021 and Liverpool have begun working on a new contract.
In reality, they have been doing that for a few months, but, according to 'The Guardian', talks have intensified in recent days.
Both parties want to remain together, so it does not look like anything will prevent the footballer from continuing at Anfield. Wijnaldum has been a key player in the Champions League for Klopp's side in the last two campaigns.
His renewal is added to that of Adam Lallana, who will stay at the club until the end of the season. His contract was due to expire on 30th June, but he can still leave for free at the end of the campaign.
