    FT- LIVERPOOL 3-0 SOUTHAMPTON A rather routine win in the end at home for Liverpool, as the match was wrapped up before the interval thanks to poor defending and an own goal from the visitors, and a good Joel Matip header. Southampton followed up a disappointing draw last time out with an even more disappointing performance and defeat at Anfield this afternoon.

    CHANCE SOUTHAMPTON- Finally in the 90th minute, Southampton have a shot on target from Charlie Austin. Alisson is finally tested but manages to deal with the low shot, parrying it out for a throw-in.

    Good run down the wing by Salah, and his cross causes chaos in the Southampton box . Multiple attempts from follow from Liverpool, but when Salah converts his finish, the goal is ruled out for offside.
