Leroy Sané is now history at Manchester City. However, despite the vehemence with which he asked to return to Germany, it seems that Pep Guardiola had nothing to do with his decision.
The new Bayern player explained that he maintains a good relationship with the manager and that it was like that until the end: "We have a good relationship. There didn't come a time when one got fed up with the other and I'm very grateful for what he taught me".
Sané continued to praise the manager: "Pep Guardiola helped me get to a very high level. He's a very meticulous person, who wants to get the most out of every player. He is very insistent with the tactics, although I see it as positive".
The German player explained that they came to live on the same block, therefore they saw each other quite a lot off the park in Manchester.
The now Bayern player continued to clarify why he decided to leave City: "It wasn't easy to leave. I wanted to come for Pep and this great team, but I decided to do something new. The Bayern project was a perfect fit, so I made that decision", he continued in 'Sport Bild'.
You have to remember that Sané was already close to signing for Bayern Munich when he went to the English side, but then he decided to try his luck outside of Germany. Now, he has returned to his country to play for the most powerful team.
