Clement Lenglet is all set to become Tottenham's new signing. The Barcelona player has already passed his medical with the English club in London, according to 'Sport' on Friday.
Tottenham are expected to make an official announcement in the next few hours about Lenglet, who will arrive in the UK on loan. The club and the player, according to the aforementioned media, are finalising the paperwork before signing his contract.
On Thursday, during the presentation of Andreas Christensen as a Barça player, Jordi Cruyff, the club's sporting advisor, confirmed that Lenglet's departure is practically closed, pending the final details.
After his spell at Sevilla, the French centre-back landed at Camp Nou in the summer of 2018. Since then, he has played 160 official matches, scored seven goals and provided a couple of assists.
During the 2021-22 season, the 27-year-old defender played in 27 official matches, although he only started eleven of them. In La Liga, he started seven matches, while in the Champions League he started four.
