Lemar gave France the lead with a spectacular chip

Just five minutes had gone in the match in Nantes, when Griezmann crossed the halfway line with unusual ease and then connected with a cross field ball to Lemar, who was waiting on the edge of the Bolivia area. 

Lampe, the Bolivian goalkeeper, hesistated as he was not sure whether to come out or stay in his goal. Lemar took advantage of this situation to beat him with a fabulous chip which brought about applause from the home crowd. 

In no time, France were ahead. Deschamps, who fielded practically his strongest team, started the match miles better than their opponents. 

The two time World Cup winners were a daunting prospect for the South American side, who found themselves trailing very early on.
