Toni Kroos said on Tuesday that Germany can learn from Real Madrid's winning mentality that demands they go out to win every game in his first appearance as a Germany international following his return to the national team.
"Naturally, the work at club level is very different to the work in the national team. When you play every three days you can prepare some things better and when there is a bad game you can turn the page quicker," he said when asked about what elements of Real Madrid he could take back to his national team.
"But there is one thing we can take on board and that is that mentality of going out to win every game, without accepting any other kind of mentality," he added.
Kroos also referred to the way he has interpreted his position in midfield throughout his career and said he believed he had always done it in a similar way. "At Real Madrid I was lucky enough to play for a long time in a midfield where the roles were clearly defined," he said.
