Real Madrid have already made Luka Modric's renewal official and have tied up those of Vinicius and Rodrygo. Real Madrid are continuing with their sporting planning for next season. However, there is a question mark over a player who is key to Carlo Ancelotti's starting eleven.
This is none other than Toni Kroos, who on 30th June 2022 is 365 days away from the end of his contract with 'Los Blancos'. The German international is tied to the reigning European champions until 2023, but is not expected to be renewed for a simple reason.
According to 'Cadena COPE', the midfielder will not renew this summer and will wait to see how he feels physically at the end of next season. The former Bayern Munich man has already withdrawn from the German national team to focus on Madrid and does not want to stay at the club in poor conditions.
In fact, Kroos has not ruled out the possibility of retiring if he decides not to renew his contract. He has already said on several occasions that his dream is to retire at Real Madrid and this option was already left open in his last renewal with the Santiago Bernabeu.
