Koeman calls up Baas and Wieffer amid injury concerns for Dumfries and De Jong

Koeman has added Ajax defender Baas and Brighton midfielder Wieffer to his squad as the Dutch side prepare for their Nations League quarter-final ties against Spain.
Baas, who turns 22 on Monday, receives his first-ever call-up to the senior national team, while Wieffer, a more experienced international, has already earned 12 caps for the Oranje. Both players will join the squad in Zeist, as confirmed by the Dutch Football Federation.
Frenkie de Jong was set to start for Barcelona in Sunday's match against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano, but illness prevented him from even making the bench. Although he will report to the national team camp, he is not expected to begin training on the pitch immediately.
Meanwhile, Dumfries picked up an injury during Inter Milan's Serie A clash with Atalanta and has been ruled out of both fixtures against Spain. With these latest adjustments, Koeman now has a 24-man squad at his disposal.
Earlier, PSV Eindhoven's Jerdy Schouten was also ruled out, adding to the absences of Manchester City's Nathan Ake and Inter's Stefan de Vrij. As a result, Manchester United's Matthijs de Ligt was brought into the squad.
The first leg of the quarter-final will take place on Thursday at De Kuip in Rotterdam, with the return fixture set for Sunday at Mestalla in Valencia.
