Coronavirus is still in the news every day, even though the situation has significantly improved in the last couple of months with now many people vaccinated.
Therefore, the two German internationals, Kimmich and Goretzka, wanted to show their solidarity. According to 'Bild', they both donated 500 thousand euros to UNICEF in order to help with an international vaccination campaign.
In addition to this solidary gesture, the two Bayern players, launched their own vaccination campaign last year called "WeKickCorona". Hummels, Schöder, Hansi Flick, or Neureuther are just some of the big sportsmen that took part in their vaccination campaign.
"This pandemic is not a national challenge, but an international one. As one of the richest countries in the world, in Germany, we are lucky enough to be better prepared than other poorer countries, thanks to the free vaccines. Joshua and I agreed that with our campaign "We Kick Corona", we now want to also support the global vaccination COVAX campaign", Goretzka concluded.
