Kieran Trippier withdraws from England squad with injury

Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier has withdrawn from the England squad for the upcoming matches against the United States and Croatia with a groin injury.

The injury, which Tripper sustained during Spurs' 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace, will rule him out of the friendly against the USA and Nations League clash against Croatia.

Trippier reported to international duty at St. George's Park on Monday but has been sent back to his club.

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is the only other player to withdraw from Gareth Southgate's 28-man squad, who broke his leg in Europa League action.

It is unknown who Gareth Southgate will call up to replace Trippier.
