Although Ronaldo has himself tried to calm fans by saying that the injury is not a serious one, there was an expectation that this could change after the results of further tests and investigation. But the injury does indeed appear to only be a slight one, as has been confirmed by an official Juventus statement.
"Cristiano Ronaldo was subject to medical tests by the Portugal national team, and these showed an apparently slight injury to the muscles in his right leg. His state of being will be monitored and will be subject to new investigations to determine when he will be able to resume competitive action", the statement read.
The initial diagnosis of the injury seems to mean that Ronaldo will be back in time for Juventus' Champions League clash with Ajax on April 10 in Amsterdam. With time a more accurate return date will be established.
