The Catalan full-back had not been included in either of Luis Enrique's previous squads, amid reports that a personal rift between the two from their time together at Barcelona was the reason for his exclusion.
However, having showed excellent form for his club side, Alba has now been included to face Croatia and Bosnia in the upcoming matches, replacing Chelsea's Marcos Alonso.
The left-back is not the only new face in the squad in the Enrique era, with Mario Hermoso, Pablo Fornals and Brais Mendez. Elsewhewre, Sergio Roberto, Diego Llorente, Íñigo Martínez and Isco have returned to the squad.
Raul Albiol, Marc Bartra, Nacho and Paco Alcacer, as well as Marcos Alonso, are the ones who miss out on a call up, having featured in the last squad for 'La Roja' .
