'Jesus needs to give more for City'

The Brazilian youngster was unable to score once again as Manchester City fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Lyon in Wednesday's Champions League fixture, and could only manage two shots on goal across the 90 minutes.
Jesus, 21, has only scored once in his last seven appearances, and Lescott criticised the striker and said Guardiola will be asking questions if he does not improve.
He said: "You know with Aguero you’re always going to get goals.
"Jesus probably hasn’t scored as many as he would like this season. You get work rate but when you’re playing up front for Manchester City it needs to be more than work rate.
"It needs to be end product and if you’re not scoring them you need to be creating them.
"City as a whole tonight just weren’t as good and as dominant as they have been in previous games."
Guardiola was suspended for the tie and had to watch on from the stands as his side were defeated, and Jermaine Jenas said both the boss and City must put the defeat behind them.
"I think teams can have those performances whether your manager is by the touchline or not. Sometimes you just come across these types of performances.
"They lacked intensity, that edge that City have usually got, the energy wasn’t quite there and sometimes it’s hard to when it’s not there.
"I don’t remember too many opportunities that they created today, I think it’s one of those games you just have to write off.
"It was just so un-City like and it’s a poor performance, that’s all you can put it down to."
