James and Ancelotti's Everton equalled a record from 1969

The season has got off to the best possible start for Everton. So much so that they are making their best start in 50 years with a full four wins led by Carlo Ancelotti from the bench and James Rodriguez on the pitch.
Against Brighton, Everton achieved a full 12 out of 12 possible points, a feat they haven't pulled off since the 1969-70 season when Everton won the league with Alan Ball, Colin Harvey and Howard Kendall.
This is the sixth time Everton have started the league with four consecutive wins, as 'MisterChip' pointed out. Of the previous five, they won the title four times and were runners-up the other.
We will have to see how the season unfolds for a revitalised Everton. James has already scored three goals and three assists in five games under the guidance of a confident Ancelotti. Far from the pressure of Madrid, the Colombian is happy and fulfilling Everton's dreams.
