The transfer was a shock to the entire footballing world, and at one point was more talked about than the World Cup given the magnitude of the the Portuguese's reputation in the game.
Juventus unveiled the superstar at their training ground, during which he gave a press conference that showed off his typically confident demeanour by saying that he is unlike any player at his age and that most of them want to go to China ahead of an easy retirement, but that he wants to prove he is still the world's best.
Fans of the 'Old Lady' lapped up Ronaldo's comments, and it seems as though the Italian press as a whole followed suit.
'Corriere dello Sport' went with the headline 'The Champion!' as they dedicated almost their entire front page to the former Real Madrid forward, suggesting that he has won the hearts of the Juventus fans and media who cover the club before he has even stepped on to the pitch in the famous black and white shirt.
'Tuttosport' had the forward front and centre pointing the line 'Only Juve', which suggests that he had his heart set on a move to Turin. While that may be the case, it is alos worthwhile pointing out that Juventus were the only club to approach Real Madrid for the player's signature.
Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho gave an interview to the Portuguese paper 'O Jogo' in which he claims that Serie A will become a much more popular league now that Ronaldo will be playing in it. The Man Utd manager should know, as he presided over the last great Italian team in the last decade as he led Inter to a Champions League title in 2010.
Ronaldo will now have to concentrate on living up to the hype when he starts training with his team at the end of the month, and will look to repay Juventus for the £500,000 per-week he will earn over the next four seasons.
