"It was about time we beat Bayern after seven straight defeats"

Erling Haaland was one of the happiest men in the match between Bayern Munich and Man City. The Norwegian striker made his debut for the Sky Blues.
The striker, who recently arrived from Borussia Dortmund, also scored his first goal as a Man City player, a goal which gave his team victory against a side which had been his nemesis, Bayern.
"It's the first time I've beaten Bayern, it was about time after seven straight defeats," Haaland confessed, after the victory to Man City's channel.
The Norwegian analysed the pre-season vvictory: "It was a good match and a true test ahead of the Liverpool game in the Community Shield."
He also spoke about the partnership he has with Jack Grealish, last summer: "We understand each other well. Both of us still have to improve. I like the atmosphere around him so it's going to be fun."
