Vinicius Junior's contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2024. There is still time, but the Brazilian forward is earning himself a new contract after his magnificent start of the season. The contract extension would include a significant raise in salary.
However, how much he earns doesn't seem to be a problem for the 21-year-old. Vinicius is certain that he just wants to play for 'Los Blancos'.
"Nobody has reached me or my agent regarding an extension because there is lots of time left on my contract. Of course, I will extend my contract, I want to stay here for a long time", claimed Vinicius for 'TNT Brasil'.
Vinicius is waiting for the right moment to extend his contract. "The contract I have is the one I signed when I was 16. Whenever I sign a new one, it doesn't matter how much I get paid or how I will get paid, the only thing that matters to me is that I play for the greatest club in the world", said the youngster.
'Marca' reports that Vinicius' great form has earned him a juicy contract extension for Real Madrid.
"Realistically we don't know what the other players are getting paid. Let's say Vinicius is on Madrid's third tier in terms of wages. However, the club has a diferent perspective for him now. He signed his Madrid contract at the age of 16, he is the only footballer ever to sign for Madrid without making his debut. Maybe the best thing for him at the moment is to maintain this contract and not being among the stars", said Federico Peña, Vinicius' agent for 'Globo Sporte'.
