Inter Milan: The hosts will be without defender Sime Vrsaljko after he aggravated a knee problem which blighted the latter stages of his World Cup campaign with Croatia earlier this summer, with fellow defender Danilo D'Ambrosio also struggling to be fit. However, they will be boosted by the return of star striker Mauro Icardi, who was rested for the shock defeat to Parma at the weekend.
Tottenham: Manager Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed suggestions he could opt to rest out-of-sorts forward Harry Kane for this one, with the World Cup Golden Boot winner expected to line up as the sole front man once again for the Londoners. Dele Alli continues to struggle with a thigh problem suffered on international duty with England but could make the bench, whilst goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will once again miss out with a thigh problem of his own.
Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti:
"These are games that mean a lot and give you a lot in terms of enthusiasm and belief. Considering the period we're going through, that's very important.
"This is a competition that you wouldn't swap for anything in the world. You experience truly wonderful emotions. After you've been in it, you can't go without it.
"There's very little confusion. We analyse what we do and we know what we must do. We have great responsibility, me above all for these results.
"I hope that the eagerness from my players to return to this stage and the efforts made to qualify for the Champions League overcome the experiences of the team so far.
"We need to go and take the initiative, we're at home. They have lots of weapons: skill and physicality.
"We're capable of putting out a team that has all the potential to live up to what is needed from a team such as Inter."
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino on whether Kane will feature:
"I think we would be crazy to think different. Yes.
"I don't know what you expect from me, or what you think my answer should be.
"He's one of the best strikers in the world. I don't care that he wasn't great [on Saturday]. He's going to score goals and he's going to perform in the way we want and we expect. No problem."

Competitive games between the sides have traditionally been high-scoring affairs, with there having been 19 goals in their four meetings to date.
