According to 'Mundo Deportivo', Inter Milan are confident in signing Ivan Rakitic for 60 million euros, slightly less than half of the 125 million which his buyout clause states.
The cited media outlet sustains that the Italian club wants to take advantage of the excessive number of midfielders which Barca have to try to attract the Croatian and Barcelona of the need to sell.
At 31, Rakitic continues to be one of Ernesto Valverde's key players. However, the signing of De Jong pushes him towards the exit door with which he flirted last summer.
Although he finally did not end up going to Paris, Barcelona have not given him the contract renewal which he was promised and his exit looks a real possibility as we head into the closing stages of the season.
