Ciro Immobile has been brilliant in the last few seasons for Lazio. He has recovered after a more than frustrating time at Sevilla. But at the moment, he is in better form than even the best strikers in the business.
Last Saturday was his 20th goal in Serie A after 18 matches so his average is more than very good. He is a serious candidate for the Golden Shoe.
Lukaku (14) and Cristiano Ronaldo (13) are significantly behind the Italian striker, who as of today has Robert Lewandowski closest to him. The Pole has 19 goals in the Bundesliga, a league currently in the winter break. That said, the Bayern '9' average is slightly better because he has only played 17 matches.
In third place in the list is Timo Werner, who has scored 18 for RB Leipzig, the leader of the the Bundesliga. Jamie Vardy of Leicester has 17 goals in 22 matches.
In the other two top leagues, Leo Messi in La Liga and Ben Yedder in Ligue 1 have just 13 goals.
