Bournemouth forward Ryan Fraser has admitted that the club are 'lucky' to be able to boast the talents of defender Nathan Ake, who he believes would be a Chelsea regular by now, had he chosen to stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 23 year old opted to make a permanent move away from West London in 2017, as after numerous loan moves to other top flight teams, Ake still found his way into the 'Blues' first team blocked by more experienced personnnel.
However current teammate Fraser believes that Chelsea's loss is the 'Cherries' gain, as Ake is now one of the mainstays in the Bournemouth team , who have made a blistering start to the current campaign.
Ake is understood to be perking the interest of many teams at the top end of the Premier League, with Manchester United, Tottenham and former side Chelsea all keen to introduce the young star into their first team plans.
Bournemouth teammate Ryan Fraser thinks these rumours are well and truly justfied, as Ake has emerged as one of the best central defenders in the division over the last few years.
In an interview with the assembled media, Fraser praised the influence of Ake, saying: "He's our best player. It's as simple as that. I don't think I've ever seen him have a bad game. He has shown himself to be a top, top player. So yes, I don't know whether he will go or what will happen but he is with us right now and he is one of the best defenders I've seen."
Fraser continued: "(Big clubs) should be looking. He's obviously had a couple of seasons now with us to get his form and confidence and games under his belt. But I'm sure that if he was at Chelsea he would be playing by now. We are lucky to have him."

The winger described exactly what makes Ake so good, stating: "He makes everyone around him play better. He's got everything on the ball, off the ball, defensively. He's not the biggest for a centre-half but he wins every header. So we will see. Without him I don't think we'd be as good. So like I said, we are glad to have him."
Without doubt, Bournemouth will not allow such an important figure to leave as early as January, but even if they make the most of Ake's attributes this season, the big clubs will definitely come calling by the time June arrives.
