Liverpool's 17-year-old Harvey Elliot could have played for Real Madrid if he had wanted to, but he has gone from that to the Reds having a new contract prepared for him in a very short time.
According to 'The Athletic', the young winger was capable of saying no to Real Madrid to stay at Liverpool and explained his decision in a very safe and honest way.
"I said no to Real Madrid. I don't like Ramos after what he did to Salah", was the argument that Harvey Elliot used for his rejection of Madrid's offer.
That offer was in summer 2019 and Los Blancos had invited the player to visit the Bernabéu, the training facilities, and to meet Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
But the attacker quickly remembered how the 2019 Champions League final was, which Liverpool lost and which had to suffer the absence of Salah because of Sergio Ramos' challenge, who injured the player.
Harvey Elliott has remained loyal to Liverpool and this would be another gesture to consider when extending and improving his contract. In his first season in the first team, the winger has played in seven matches.
