"To be honest, I'm not worried about the Griezmann situation. He is an Atletico Madrid captain, he has always responded on the field. Now we have an important match in which he will have to respond," Simeone started saying.
And later on he was asked if he imagined an Atletico without Griezmann. "No, I can't imagine a season without him because he has a contract with the club, he is one of Atletico's captains, he has given it his all since he came and I imagine he will have a great game tomorrow (Saturday)," he replied.
"It is everything which I imagined regarding Griezmann," added Simeone, trying to put an end to the recurring topic over the possible exit of the Frenchman in the summer.
To close, Simeone reminded that they still have a chance of winning the league. "While we still have a chance, I am optimistic. Far too optimistic. Many things can happen in a week in football. But we have to bring about results which generate that possibility," said the Argentine in his closing remarks.
