How come Odegaard can play against Real Madrid?

Odegaard will be one of Real Sociedad's key players in the match against Real Madrid. On loan from Zidane's team, his parent club did not include the so-called "fear clause" when they first loaned him. 

Real Madrid will let their footballer play in the qualifying round of the Copa del Rey, as the Madrid team didn't include the clause that would prevent him from playing against his official owners.

This way, Martin Odegaard will be, if Imanol sees it fit, one of the players who make the starting eleven and fight for a place in the Copa Del Rey semi-final. 

'AS' reported that Real Madrid stopped including the fear clause this summer. The club changed the course and will allow all its loaned players to play against them this season.

It'll be the second time that Martin Odegaard will play at Santiago Bernabéu as a rival. He already did it in November, on the 14th, when he could not avoid his current team's defeat. 

The Norwegian, on loan, has not been thinking about his return to Real Madrid; only about sending his team through the next round. "The plan has not changed, which is to stay here what we talked about, because I could not be any happier. I am focused on the day to day and the way to face the future has not changed at all," he argued days ago.
