He's 79, he has arthritis and his grandson is in his team, but he still wants to keep on playing!

Football's great stories do not only occur in large stadiums in front of thousands of people. Colin Lee is a man who one way or another, has been connected to football for 72 years. At just seven, he started playing in local teams and almost in his eighties, he is still playing in goal every weekend despite suffering from arthritis and problems in his knees. However, he keeps on showing that he can play.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers fan has never played for any elite club. He has been moving from club to club in English amateur football. "I will be 80 in June and I have no plans to stop playing. I will be here for as long as my body lets me.. and for as long as I keep being selected of course."

In an interview with 'Yahoo Sports' in collaboration with 'SWNS', he assured that he suffers limitations, but he has never used them as an excuse to step away from sport. "I have arthritis in my hands and my knees are more rigid than what they should be, but I love it when I play and I make a great save." I have had a lot of bruises and some cuts, but never serious injuries. I always been told that I am crazy being in goal, but I've been doing it for a long time and I don't take any notice of them," says Colin who is in the same team as his 50 year-old son and 21 year-old grandson.

"It's marvellous playing with them. My son has knee problems which I have, but it's brilliant when the three of us play together in the same team. I can still play 90 minutes, but I think that I can also contribute in the dressing room," he explained. Colin received the Barclays Community Sports for his undeniable contribution to English amateur football and his footballing idol is Ryan Giggs, a man who for Man Utd until he was 40 and played 963 games... an example of longevity and love for football.
