According to the 'Daily Mail', following Chelsea's loss to Manchester City on Sunday, it is thought that Eden Hazard is biding his time before settling a new deal at Stamford Bridge in the hope of a transfer to the Spanish side.
The Belgian playmaker looked frustrated during the 1-0 defeat, and is now allegedly planning to leave Chelsea should Madrid make a bid for him in the transfer window this summer.
Despite the long-established interest of the Spanish team, it is said that their current head coach, Zinedine Zidane, will be the deciding factor in the potential offer.
After a disappointing La Liga performance, Real will need to triumph over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday for Zidane to retain fan support as manager. Although, Hazard has often claimed that the former French footballer is his idol.
Chelsea will be looking to hold onto their star player though, particularly as fellow Belgian and goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, is said to be delaying on his deal with the Blues', in the hope of following Hazard to Real Madrid.
