Eden Hazard is taking time to consider his future amid pressure from Chelsea to sign a contract extension at Stamford Bridge.
The 'Blues' are keen for their talisman to extend his stay in West London, but the Belgian is also aware that he does not want to harbour regrets in the future as a result of remaining at Chelsea.
Hazard only has 18 months remaining on his current deal, and has openly questioned his desire to stay in London, amid heavy links to a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
In an interview with a Monaco based radio network 'RMC' during the summer, Hazard noted: "The new (Chelsea) coach (Maurizio Sarri) thinks football like me, so we'll see. The family is in London, I'm also going to be 28. I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my career. It's a decision I'm going to make, I do not know when, but I'll take it."
More worryingly for Chelsea fans, their star man concluded the interview by saying: "You know me, I've always loved Real, even before (Zinedine) Zidane. We'll see what happens. As I said, I'm already finishing this year with Chelsea, I still have a year of contract after this year."
Hazard is yet to make a decision on his future, but as time ticks away, Chelsea stand to not only lose their marquee man, but perhaps lose a substantial portion of a potential transfer fee.
