Erling Haaland has said goodbye to football for 2020 and was unable to play the last two matches of the Champions League, where his team, Borussia Dortmund, tied for first place in the group.
The Norwegian asked to be treated in Qatar, a country where other stars like Ousmane Dembélé have already gone to for major injuries.
"He is surrounded by experts and he wanted to work there. He's in contact with us and we came to an agreement," explained Michael Zorc, sports director of the Dortmund team in Germany.
After ending his first half season at Borussia Dortmund with 16 goals and two assists in 18 games, the Scandinavian forward has redoubled his efforts so far in 2020-21 and has already scored 17 goals and three assists in just 14 games.
Despite the expert care given in Qatar, he is not expected to play again until next January, already in 2021.
