Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised the career Gareth Bale has had, who announced his retirement on Monday, and said that he will now be "a great golfer".
"What a player", Guardiola said this Tuesday in his press conference. "He's had a great career and won a lot of titles. He's represented Wales more than 100 times. Now he's going to become a fantastic golf player", the Spanish boss added, who seemed open to invite him to play with him: "Before, he was really busy, maybe he can now. I'll invite him again".
When asked about whether he tried to sign him at any point during his career as a coach, Guardiola admitted that Bale has always been "very expensive".
The Welsh footballer announced his retirement on Monday after a 17 year career which saw him win, as well as lots of other titles, five Champions Leagues.
