Giroud renews with Milan until 2024

There is a happy atmosphere at Milan. The 'Rossoneri' have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League after 16 years without reaching them, and are in high spirits ahead of a stage where they could face their eternal rivals, Inter Milan.

Undoubtedly, one of the star players of the Italian side this season has been Olivier Giroud. The veteran striker, at 36 years of age, has still not lost his hunger for goals. He has scored a total of 13 goals and provided six assists in the 38 matches he has played in. He scored the only goal in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Napoli.

That is why, Milan have set to work to continue counting on him. The Frenchman was set to be released on 30th June, although the 'Rossoneri' have taken it upon themselves to ensure his continuity, at least until the end of the 2023-24 season.

"AC Milan is proud to announce that Olivier Giroud has renewed his contract with the Club. Olivier, at AC Milan since the summer of 2021, has become an important linchpin in the Rossoneri forward line, making 76 appearances and scoring 27 goals.
