Fabinho's transfer to Al-Ittihad stalled due to... his dogs!

Fabinho's transfer to Al-Ittihad could fall through, even though all parties had already reached a verbal agreement for just over €46 million.

The reason for this possible setback is that Saudi Arabia has banned French bulldogs, the breed of the two dogs owned by the Brazilian, from entering the country.

The Gulf state considers these dogs to be dangerous and aggressive and only allows them into the country for hunting or as guides for the blind, but never as pets for the general public.

That's why Al-Ittihad made a special request to the Saudi government for Fabinho to arrive accompanied by his two dogs.

The midfielder had signed a four-year contract with the team coached by Nuno Espirito Santo, where he would play alongside Karim Benzema, N'golo Kante and Jota, all of whom arrived this summer.
