Everton v Southampton - Preview and possible lineups

Everton: Mason Holgate (ankle) and Dominic Calvert-Lewin (back) are unlikely to feature for the 'Toffees' and therefore join Eliaquim Mangala, Gylfi Sigurdsson (both knee) and James McCarthy (leg) on the casualty list.
Southampton: Steven Davis will miss the league fixture due to a persistent achilles issue but he's the Saints only injury concern.
Everton head coach Sam Allardyce on this year's relegation battle:
"I'm surprised to see all three teams in the bottom three. At the start of the season, you wouldn't have expected it, but it can happen for many reasons.
"It's such a difficult game tomorrow, because of the victory they had against Bournemouth last week - it gives them a lifeline and they will be fighting tooth and nail".
Southampton manager Mark Hughes on his team's mentality:
"We're all fully focused, we know exactly what's ahead of us, and the working week has been good, as it always has.
"I haven't seen any let-up in terms of application and I've been really pleased with that since I came here and walked through the door, so that hasn't changed.
"If anything, I think our work's got better, because we do a lot of repetition on things we think will help us in games, so we're now a couple of weeks down the line with that type of work, so we're getting better at what we're trying to do."
