The German side have offered the Toffees a fee of £12 million to get the permanent signing of Lookman over the line according to the 'Daily Mirror'.
The young winger had an impressive stint in the Bundesliga, scoring 5 times in just 11 games to help him add to his already impressive reputation.
Despite the offer, it is thought that Everton boss Marco Silva is keen on keeping the England U-21 international at Goodison Park.
Lookman seems to be happy to stay at the club but wants to get more opportunities on the pitch than under Sam Allardyce, having made less than 30 appearances for the team since joining from Charlton in January 2017.
Everton start their preseason campaign in a friendly against League One side Bury, with Lookman hoping he can get an opportunity to show his manager what he can do in the game.
