Everton looking to move for Schmeichel

Everton could make a bid for Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news comes despite the fact the club signed Dutch international goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg  from second-tier Fulham, who became Ronald Koeman's first capture since he took over at Goodison Park.

Schmeichel had an incredible season for the Foxes, and was one of the central figures in their extraordinary title success.

The stated source claim that Koeman is prepared to meet the £17 million release clause the 29-year-old has in his contract.
