Although Yerry Mina is now in his second season in England and Richarlison his third, neither of the two are capable of holding a conversation in English, which makes communication in the dressing room difficult.
Yerry learnt little Portuguese during their time in Brazil, but as he is from Colombia, his teammates could more or less understand him. In Brazil he hardly had issues with this, but he is in England.
Marco Silva is delighted with their performances on the pitch as are the fans, but the club feel that to help them settle into the Premier League, they must learn the language. Both Yerry and Richarlison will have to take note.
As well as improving communication on the pitch and in the dressing room, learning English will help them mix with the rest of their teammates because up to them, the language barrier has prevented them from spending time with the rest of the footballers.
