Eriksen returned to Parken nine months after cardiac arrest and scored

This Tuesday was one of the most emotional moments in recent months in the world of football. Christian Eriksen returned to the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, where he collapsed.
The Danish footballer started the game against Serbia as a starter in a stadium with bad memories. There, at the Parken Stadium, Eriksen had a cardiac arrest which left him unconscious for several seconds against Finland at the Euros.
It has been nine months since that incident until Eriksen stepped on the pitch at the Parken Stadium. A match which he also started after some emotional minutes.
"Welcome home," the two placards read, one in Danish and the other in English, to celebrate the return of one of Denmark's top players.
Kasper Schmeichel offered Eriksen the captain's armband. He was emotional while listening to the national anthem together with his goalkeeper and he had a coin toss with Dusan Tadic.
"It will be a emotional time. It's one of those moments you cannot prepare for. He reception he got in the Netherlands was a very good one and I hope he's even better here," he said.
Eriksen also scored when he picked up a ball on the edge of the box and hit the ball right into the corner with his right foot.
