Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is committed to Everton until 2024. With a year to go this summer, many will be knocking on his door in the hope of signing him at a bargain price.
Sean Dyche has become the goalkeeper's main backer. 'The Sun' claims the manager is working to persuade Everton to offer him better terms to avoid his departure.
Pickford is currently paid around €5.6 million a year. The manager wants Everton to pay him double that, which is 11.2 million.
According to a source close to the player, explains 'The Sun', the footballer would prioritise staying, as long as he has a better contract. "He wants to stay at Everton. He loves it there, but the club are not willing to pay him what he wants. The player and his agent have asked the board for a meeting. Everton are only willing to offer him a few thousand euros more a week than he is currently on," he said.
Despite Everton's bad situation, very close to the relegation zone, the goalkeeper would prefer to stay with the Toffees. Meanwhile, Tottenham and United, the two main sides interested in the player, will try to convince him with millions to make him pack his bags this summer.
