Former Spain coach Vicente del Bosque praised on Tuesday the work that the Italian Carlo Ancelotti has done as coach of Madrid and predicted that “it will be difficult for those who come” to do better than his work and the way in which he has managed the team.
The Salamanca-born player considered that in the years he has coached the 'Merengue' team, ‘Carletto’ has developed a "magnificent" performance and has been "an example of football knowledge and, on top of that, of having a well-knit dressing room".
"And he has achieved it (...) A fantastic journey. It's going to be difficult for those who come after him", said the former Real Madrid coach in statements to the media after participating in the presentation ceremony of the sponsorship agreement between La Liga and the company Moeve held in Madrid.
Asked what a coach has to do to succeed at Madrid, Del Bosque replied: "Lead a group and what Ancelotti has done during this time is simplified".
The former player and former coach also considered the way in which the Italian coach is facing his final stretch in the 'Merengue' team to be exemplary: "He is being exemplary in all his answers".
