Alli has already missed two weeks after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring problem, however he reportedly recovering well.
But the midfielder is intensifying his training plan as he bids to make a swift return.
Tottenham are also closely monitoring the fitness of Danny Rose after the left-back withdrew from the England squad with a groin problem.
Rose joins Alli - as well as Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele - on the Spurs treatment table.
Alli is targeting to return for Tottenham's top of the top clash against Manchester City, however that may come too soon for the 22-year-old.
