De Paul rejects Tottenham offer

Rodrigo de Paul has been on Tottenham's agenda for some time and this summer the side from North London made him an offer. However, the player has a rejected it. He lacks experience in the Premier League, but he is an expert in the Serie A. Conte is no stranger to the Italian league and so has been able to watch the player's development for a number of seasons.

Simeone's centre midfielder is contracted with Atletico until 2026 and therefore has shown his committment to the cause. He is exactly the type of player that the Spanish club want to keep as he is someone who wants to bring success to the Wanda Metropolitano. This is key for their long term plans.

However, Atletico are in need of selling a player as they require 40 million euros to balance their books currently. This issue is causing problems in terms of adding reinforcements to the squad this summer.
