The days of David de Gea's professional career could be numbered. The Spanish goalkeeper left Manchester United as a free agent and is considering retirement if he does not receive an offer from a top European club.
According to 'The Guardian', the 32-year-old wants to be the first-choice goalkeeper at a European team and does not consider other alternatives. The goalkeeper has already turned down several offers from Saudi clubs because he wants to continue his career in one of the big five leagues.
De Gea has made it clear on several occasions that money is not one of his priorities when joining a new club. He has yet to receive an offer that suits his requirements after leaving Old Trafford in the summer.
The Spaniard was considered by Real Madrid to replace Thibaut Courtois, who will be out of action for the entire 2023/24 season due to injury, but the Spanish giants decided to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea.
