Frenchman Blaise Matuidi has insisted that there is no man more deserving of winning the Ballon d'Or than Cristiano Ronaldo.
The midfielder praised the Turin side's summer arrival, while insisting that no other player has come close to the performances of Ronaldo in the past year.
Since joining Juventus, Ronaldo has scored 10 goals in 17 games, helping the Italian giants to storm to the top of the Serie A table.
In an interview with 'Sky Sports', Matuidi stated: "'Cristiano Ronaldo? He deserves the Ballon d'Or. He has an incredible hunger and it makes a difference."
Juventus have made an unbeaten start to the season, albeit recording five draws as well as 8 wins in their 13 games so far.
They travel to Fiorentina on Saturday, aiming to further stretch their 8 point lead from second placed Napoli.
Matuidi insisted that the side's sole focus is winning. He added: "We are concentrated on our game and we have to play it like we are used to do doing. It is a match that is worth three points and we need them to continue to maintain the lead in the standings."
