After Juventus' Champions League elimination at the hands of Porto, rumours over Cristiano Ronaldo's possible departure from the Italian side in the summer increased. Real Madrid are reportedly Ronaldo's favourite option.
Reports say that Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, had been weighing up a possible return to the Bernabeu for Ronaldo for a while.
This Tuesday, journalist Nuno Luz has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly willing to end his time at Juventus if Real Madrid come calling.
"Cristiano signed for Juventus to win the Champions League and he has not done it. In these moments, he would be more than delighted to be able to return to Real Madrid," he explained to 'Marca' and 'El Partidazo de COPE'. He also said that Ronaldo can still offer a lot to Real Madrid.
The pandemic has made big name signings difficult, but Luz made it clear that the money is the least important thing for Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment.
"The money is not the most important thing for him now. That said, Juventus are expecting that Cristiano says publicly that he wants to leave," he said about Juventus, who would ask for around 25 million euros for the five time Ballon d'Or winner.
Cristiano Ronaldo's return seems to be looking more likely. A return which would see the 'BBC' reunited again as Gareth Bale has said he will be back at Real Madrid next season once his loan spell at Tottenham finishes.
