Antonio Conte's departure from Inter Milan caught everyone by surprise. Not just the fans, but also the club. Giuseppe Marotta, Inter's CEO, confirmed to 'ANSA'.
The manager left Inter after winning the 'Scudetto', a trophy that Juventus won interruptedly for almost ten years. Not even Inter's great season was enough for the Italian coach to stay.
'"Conte's decision was unpredictable, he left all of us speechless", said Marotta, who also expressed his happiness after finding the right replacement, Simone Inzaghi.
"In those situations, you need to be fast and fortunately for us, we found a young coach with a great experience like Inzaghi", explained Inter's CEO.
