The transfer market is open and clubs around the world are outlining their plans for 2021/22. At Atletico, there remains a question mark over Saul Ñiguez.
Despite the midfielder being contracted at the club until 2026, some have indicated that Saul himself wants to leave. His potential destinations haven't taken long to emerge.
Bayern Munich are one of the clubs most interested. So much so that, according to 'Radio Marco', they have offered Atletico 80 million for the midfielder. However, it would appear that they're not the only ones.
According to journalist and transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are also on the lookout for Saul. Either one of the two clubs could yet secure his signing as Romano indicates that negotiations are far from advanced. A deal has not been done just yet.
Romano continues that, in the meantime, Atletico are looking for a replacement. They are already in talks with Udinese's Rodrigo de Paul, for whom they would reportedly offer around 40 million euros.
