Celtic knocked out of cup for first time since 2016
Celtic have been knocked out of the Scottish League Cup after losing 2-0 at home to Ross County.
Ross Stewart opened the scoring with a penalty in the 34th minute and Alex Iacovitti headed home six minutes from time to seal the win.
It will be the first time that Celtic will miss out on a domestic trophy since 2016 as their reign of dominance in Scotland comes to an end for now at least.
The defeat piles the pressure on Neil Lennon who himself acknowledged after the game that he could be sacked if results don't improve.
Celtic have won just two of their past ten games, are out of the Europa League, and trail leaders Rangers by eleven points in the Scottish Premiership.
