Celta reject Napoli's €30m bid for Liverpool target Gabri Veiga

Gabri Veiga was one of La Liga's surprise packages last season. The Celta Vigo midfielder made 30 appearances as a starter, scoring 11 goals and assisting four times.

As a result, several European clubs were interested in the 21-year-old and asked about his situation. Liverpool are the main contenders to secure Veiga's services for next season.

However,  they are not the only ones. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have joined the race for his transfer and have made an opening bid of 30 million euros for him.

But Celta Vigo have rejected their offer. The La Liga side will not accept less than 40 million euros for their star player.

Nonetheless, the Italian side will keep moving for the Spaniard. Piotr Zielinski is being linked with a move away from the Serie A club and the board will try to sign his replacement as soon as possible.
