The second half had only just started when a timid attack from Lithuania almost saw the hosts draw level. A cross from the right was intercepted by Michael Keane, who cut out the pass for a striker lurking at the back post.
Rather unfortunately, he stuck out his boot and poked the ball in the direction of his own net, forcing Jack Butland to stretch and palm the ball away.
