Pontus Jansson could become a Brentford footballer in the coming hours. The Swedish international, currently in the Leeds United ranks, is sought after by the Bees, who are keen to reinforce their squad in order to try and get promoted.
Brentford, who very recently signed the Spanish goalkeeper David Raya, seems to see in Jansson a key player in defence.
The Swede has been in professional football for 10 years after playing in the top flight for Malmo. From there he went to Torino, where he had two rather unsuccessful seasons before joining Leeds.
Pontus Jansson has been a key player for Marcelo Bielsa, with whom he had arguments last season at Elland Road. In the 2018/19 campaign, he played 41 matches and scored three goals in a great season in the Championship.
