Bird is close to reuniting with Lampard again. Chelsea have him in their sights and 'Football Insider' assures that, if they go for him, they will have to put 5.5 million euros on the table to get him.
This figure is quite superior to his market value, which is 1.1 million. This has been increased so drastically because of the players' future potential, his progression and because he has a contract until 2022.
He is just 19, and this season he has played 18 matches, starting 15 of them. Making the step to the Premier League would be something of much importance in his career, but he could play 2nd fiddle at Chelsea.
Chelsea have the sufficient economic capacity to pay the 5.5 million euros that he costs, therefore, when the summer comes, they will have to make the final decision on whether they intend to sign the player. It is not known, at the moment, if he is in favour of leaving.
